Five Creative Ways to Exercise this Spring

Five Creative Ways to Exercise this Spring

Great Ways to Change Up Your Workouts This Spring

Spring Exercise Changes

Depending on where you live, the warm spring weather has either already arrived or is right around the corner. The spring isn’t just a great time to take your exercise routine outside, but it’s also a good opportunity to mix things up again and add some variety to your workout.

Have Walking Meetings

The spring is the perfect time to ditch the meeting room and have your team meetings outside. Instead of sitting in chairs around the conference table, go for a walk with your team around the neighbourhood. Of course, this won’t work for very large or complex meetings, but for one-on-ones and smaller or more informal meetings, it can be great. Not only will it help you exercise, but it will also increase productivity as people who take some time to get up and active during the day are able to perform better at work.

Start Playing a Sport

Gather up some friends and family and throw a football or kick a soccer ball. You don’t need to be a professional to have a good time and get in a good workout. Instead of going out to restaurants or for drinks with friends, play a sport instead!

Involve your Friends

As mentioned, try to involve your friends in your workout. Having other people around makes working out more enjoyable and it keeps you motivated. If you’re going for a jog in the park or a hike in the woods, take a friend with you. They’ll support you and keep you entertained.

Go for a Hike or a Bike Ride

The beauty of the spring is that you can take in the scenery while you work out. Leave the exercise bike behind in the gym and instead take a real bike out along a trail. You’ll get in a good workout and you’ll be able to check out the local sights as well.

Hit the Beach (Or the Pool)

Swimming is great exercise. During the spring and summer, look for outdoor pools where you can swim laps or, if you have a beach nearby where swimming is allowed, try that instead!

By changing what you’re doing, you’ll bring new life to your exercise routine and you’ll start enjoying yourself again. This will help you stay motivated and keep you going.
