Thanks for checking out Alan's bio! Alan is a husband, father, grandfather, personal trainer and active fitness and healthy living enthusiast. He enjoys the outdoors and the company of people in a variety of settings. He also loves helping people, both to reach their fitness goals, and to be healthy/whole in all aspect of their lives. Alan has been involved in sports and fitness for much of his life. However, after several years of being less so in his late 20s to early 30s, and gaining about 50 lbs., he knew he needed to take action. So, he has been active for the last 18+ years in weight training, running, cycling, swimming and more. For the last 8 years he has been a very active runner, participating in events from 5kms to full marathons. In 2018, Alan had the opportunity to lead a full marathon running clinic, helping several others prepare for the PEI marathon. Alan's own fitness goals include: qualifying for the Boston marathon; running in some destination marathons, ultra-marathons and adventure races; and, participating in cycling/duathlon/triathlon events. In 2015, Alan decided to pursue becoming a certified personal trainer. At the time he had a great job with good career prospects, pay, and security, but knew he wanted to help people more. Alan began to work as a personal trainer in 2016, and is now excited about coming on board with Fitness on the Go.
